i have noticed something about the job application process that absolutely irks me: the potential employers ask for a resume AND an application that requires me to fill in tiny little boxes with the same information that’s on my FRICKIN RESUME. this is a waste of paper, my time, and my handwriting. i like my miniature handwriting but not enough to want to squeeze it into those confined spaces. it seems so unnecessarily repetitive. am i crazy or is this process like the scene in Legally Blonde where Elle Woods repeatedly asks the witness if she took a shower after getting a perm during cross examination???  i need a hot bath, a generous glass of wine, and a stress relief based aroma therapy session after each application i fill out. as i click the submit button i release myself from this vexing task, exhale, and exit.
